Each day it becomes increasingly clear the extent of the devastation in Haiti, as well as the breadth of suffering that has resulted. The needs are truly great, but so too is the opportunity for the Church here to serve the Church there in responding to the full range of needs and challenges.
Here are some web sites that highlight some of the ways you and your church can best respond to the immediate needs in Haiti, especially as it relates to orphans and vulnerable children:
Christian Alliance for Orphans – find a list of trusted Christian organizations that are providing on-the-ground response to the needs of orphans in Haiti. You can also find periodic updates about the situation and needs in Haiti at the Christian Alliance’s blog.
Together for Adoption – read about T4A’s local church initiative designed to mobilize the U.S. church to be the hands and feet of the Haitian church to care for its orphaned and vulnerable children.
Tapestry – read Tapestry’s blog for more information about the current adoption landscape in Haiti.
Please continue to pray for those in Haiti and how God can use you, your family and your church to best respond to the needs their.
