Summit V, the annual conference of the Christian Alliance for Orphans, was held at Irving Bible Church on April 30 and May 1, 2009. Over 800 people from hundreds of churches and organizations from across the U.S. gathered to celebrate what God is already doing and all the He is yet to do as local churches and followers of Jesus Christ continue to live out God’s heart for the fatherless.
The conference was packed full of inspiring keynote presentations as well as over 40 information-packed breakout sessions all designed to empower and equip local church leaders and others to better be able to love and serve the orphan through adoption, foster care and international orphan care ministries.
Check out this video that was shown at the opening of Summit V to remind all who attended of the privilege of serving the least of these in Jesus’ name:
